We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

A different angle ...

The next letter in the Craft Barn alpha dictionary challenge is G.

Always good to go with first thoughts - which this time is geometric. Why that is the first word that came to mind - who knows?

This piece is inspired by the works of Modriani, though I have put a new slant on it ...

I've used acrylic paint on watercolour paper.

The object of art is to give life a shape.

  2. I LOVE the slant you added to the obviously Modriani inspired art. His work has always been a favorite of mine and you have certainly depicted geometric with a slant at its finest. VERY, VERY impressive, and not a single rubber stamp used, either (grin)! How did that happen?

  3. How clever you are! I love your geometric design. I'll bet painting with acrylics on the watercolor paper was pretty much a dream.

  5. As soon as I saw your piece I thought Mondrian! Also a certain hair spray from L'Oreal had that sort of block design (yes a long time ago) Very artistic and super illustration of the word.

  6. This is brilliant, the Modriani inspiration works so well. This work is very dramatic, what a great choice of word for the letter G.
