Whooo Hoooo! I won the random number thingy last week, just need to decide what to spend it on, keep going onto the Craft Barn website, and keep changing my mind! Oh - decisions decisions!
The latest Craft Barn Q&L challenge words are MOON and SENSATION.
I don't know how many times I've turned to Lewis Carroll during this challenge, but ..... at least I'm being consistent!
I've taken a verse from The Walrus and the Carpenter:
The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done -
"it's very rude of him" she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"
I've recently bought some Brusho paints, so this was an ideal opportunity to try them out. I sprinkled the dry powder onto damp watercolour paper, then spritzed with water.
Printed off the moon, and stamped some sulky looking eyes. Well, I think she looks a little sulky!
It's cold and damp today, so I'm off to make a nice hot mug of soup!
I am over the moon (LOL) with the vibrant colours of the Brushos on your gorgeous background. I am itching to try mine this week end. Great page!
ReplyDeleteStill not received my vouchers from last challenge, did you get yours straight away?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Brusho background and a lovely quote:-) xxx
Love the background.
ReplyDeleteLovely Brusho background, aren't they fab, and another fun quote. Love my Brushos but think I may be getting hooked on the "spritzing" technique
ReplyDeleteGlorious background Kay, like so many galaxies and nebulae doing 'their thing'. I love the sulky moon you created, to go so well with the lyric :o))
ReplyDeleteThe background is stunning. The moon looks great too :)
ReplyDeleteI finally learned what Brushos are. The colors are really vibrant, and I like the texture you got. I suspect that was from the watercolor paper? Yes, her eyes are very sulky. Great spread, and enjoyed that you are consistent by picking Lewis Carroll, an author I actually have heard of!
ReplyDeleteI love your moon and the face on it. You can always rely on Lewis Carol for a good quote.
ReplyDeleteLove the Brusho BG - they are quite addictive aren't they? Beautiful moon image.
ReplyDeleteGreat background here - maybe I need (!) some brusho too?
ReplyDeleteThe moon (and the quote, too) are really adorable, and the background is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteLovely page, great moon and quote! xx
ReplyDeleteJust catching up with the Moon/Sensation-Challenge, really a bit late these days. A wonderful moon and a fantastic page. Great composition.
ReplyDeleteI love the serendipity nature of Brushos. A great page and choice of quote.
